Winona Gems

Here are some places in Winona, Minnesota, that I like.

• MAMM - well-executed water-themed museum on the river in a beautiful space
• Blue Heron - legendary coffee shop, regulars, of the place
• Coop - hard to imagine Winona w/o the coop
• WAC - a welcoming local art scene
• John Latsch Park - stairs from the river to the top of the bluff
• Trempealeau Wildlife Refuge - one of the most beautiful places I've ever been
• The Lafayette - Adam and Jess' comfy-lux cocktail bar, 5-star google rating
• Historical society - one of the coolest buildings in town—the old armory
• Hei and Lo - of the place, good music. Eli says it's the best bar now, so probably is
• No Name - community-oriented bar with nerdy/technical talks
• WSU Library - have spent years in here. nice big space
• Public Library - beautiful old lib. back group meeting room is incredible
